Since accession of the Slovak Republic to the European Union, mergers and acquisitions have become increasingly common on the Slovak market. The inflow of foreign investment in recent years has led to a growth of this type of transaction. Acquisitions, which were previously solely the domain of large enterprises and natural monopolies, are now more often performed by small and medium enterprises.
